This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and carries no advertising trackers. The only information it collects is what you type into the consultation form.
This policy describes what happens to information collected through greebelgreebel.com. It does not cover information you give us once you are a client — that is governed by the attorney-client relationship and by our obligations under the New York Rules of Professional Conduct, which are stricter than any website policy.
The form asks for your name, phone number, and email address, and gives you space for a message. The message is optional. Along with it, we receive a note of which page you submitted from, so we know what you were reading when you decided to reach out.
That is the whole of it. There are no hidden fields, and we do not append information about you from any outside source.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs — the pages requested, the time, the browser type, and the IP address the request came from. These are generated automatically by the web server and are used to keep the site running and secure.
We think this is the more useful list:
Because we set no cookies, you will not find a cookie banner here. There is nothing to consent to.
To respond to you, and for nothing else. A consultation request is delivered straight to the firm's inbox and read by the people who would actually handle your matter. We use your phone number and email to reach you about your inquiry and, if you become a client, about your matter.
Information you send before we have agreed to represent you may not be protected by the attorney-client privilege. Please keep your first message general — enough to tell us the kind of matter and how to reach you. Save the details for the consultation.
This is explained more fully in our Terms of Use. It is not a formality: we may already represent someone on the other side of your matter, and we cannot know that until we have run a conflicts check.
We use a small number of outside services to run the site. They handle information only as needed to provide their service:
We will also disclose information where the law requires it — for example, in response to a valid subpoena or court order.
A consultation request arrives as an email and is kept in the firm's email system. We keep inquiries that do not become matters only as long as there is a reason to — generally so we can recognize a returning caller and run accurate conflicts checks. If you become a client, your file is retained according to the firm's records policy and the New York rules governing client files.
Server logs are retained on a short rolling basis by our hosting provider.
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and form submissions travel encrypted. The firm maintains reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards for the personal information it holds, consistent with New York law. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise — which is another reason to keep sensitive detail out of a first message.
This site is intended for adults seeking legal representation. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, call us and we will delete it.
You can ask us what information we hold about you from a website inquiry, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call 516-248-7008 or write to the address below. If you are a current or former client, some records must be retained under the rules governing attorney files, and we will tell you if that applies.
If we change how the site handles information — for example, if we add analytics — we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
